I met my husband and got married when I was 32. We were excited to get started with having babies right away given my age and my career in natural reproductive medicine. When we did get pregnant, it ended in miscarriage. We now have 3 healthy boys. I had another miscarriage after my second son, and I just gave birth last month at the age of 40 with my 3rd child. I was definitely considered “ advanced maternal age” when I had my second son at 36 and now with my 3rd at 40 years of age.  My pregnancies have only gotten healthier as I have learned more over the years about pre-conception health and fertility.
